چکیده
Smptomatic uterine fibroids are estimated to occur in 25-50% of women of reproductive age, causing severe menstrual cramps, menorrhagia (which can result in anemia), reduced fertility, and/or symptoms of pressure, such as urinary frequency, a feeling of heaviness or bloating, or pain due to nerve compression. There are several treatment options for symptomatic fibroids, including myomectomy, hysterectomy, and uterine artery embolization (UAE). If bleeding is the primary symptom, treatment options also include hormonal therapy, or hysteroscopic resection or ablation.

UTERINE artery embolization (UAE) is a therapy that offers an alternative to traditional surgical procedures such as myomectomy and hysterectomy for women with symptomatic leiomyomata (fibroids). The clinical experience and the published literature indicate that this is an effective and safe therapy (1–9). For patients to receive the best possible care before, during, and after the embolization...

Cervical pregnancy is a rare form of ectopic pregnancy. Its treatment has been described by different authors. We report our successful experience of a cervical twin pregnancy that was diagnosed by transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound and confirmed by magnetic resonance imaging. To preserve fertility, our patient was treated by a bilateral hyperselective uterine artery embolization follow...
